The environment is a paramount issue for any activity.

Ecology and environmental protection really are key words.
In recent years, the Port of Boulogne-sur-Mer has taken steps to protect and respect the environment around its various activities.

The Port of Boulogne is sensitive to the environmental dimension in the design of its new projects and in implementing solutions adapted to its various activities.

In the context of the redevelopment of the former Comilog site, the project is centred on the creation of a business park of High Environmental Quality.

The collection of waste, and fishing waste in particular, is very proactive in this respect : first of all, waste is sorted into categories (nets, containers etc.) and collection points have been put in place. There are also waste sorting and collection facilities at the marina.

A process of investment at the Port of Boulogne-sur-Mer and collective project initiatives – in collaboration with both the Municipality of Boulogne-sur-Mer and the Conurbation Committee – are key issues in the continuation of this environmental approach, an approach now advocated by many players and local authorities.

This is an essential topic for deliberation between the various players, leading to a truly joint approach which respects the environment at all levels.
