Seafood products imported from around the world all reach Boulogne-sur-Mer by heavy goods vehicles. Products from northern Europe arrive directly (UK, Norway, Denmark, Holland, Poland, Russia, Baltic States). For other arrivals, products particularly from Asia, Africa and South America, they transit via nearby airports (Roissy-CDG, London, Luxemburg, Brussels, etc.), or the Channel and North Sea Ports (Le Havre, Dunkirk, Antwerp, etc.).

An expressway link up the wharf to the A16 and A26 motorways thus reducing still further the dispatching time to eastern and southern Europe, as well as the UK by way of the Channel tunnel.
