Situation

As well as being in the immediate vicinity of the busiest navigation channel in the world, the Port of Boulogne-sur-Mer is also situated in the centre of Europe (100 million inhabitants within a radius of 300kms). In 2004 the 50 minute Channel crossing between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Dover hasbe reinstated, thus making the Port of Boulogne one of the principal ‘gateways’ into France from the UK. The Port of Boulogne is also linked directly to the A16 motorway by dual carriage way.
