The region’s cement works and quarries export a significant part of their production in the form of:

• clinker in bulk or cement in sacks, for the cement works.
• aggregates and limestone, for the Boulogne quarries; Norwegian aggregates for public works projects are also imported.
• rock fill and riprap.
